TL;DR: Whispry processes all audio locally on your device. We never upload, transmit, or store your voice recordings or transcriptions. Your data stays on YOUR Mac.

This Privacy Policy describes how Whispry ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our voice-to-text application for macOS (the "Software") and our website at getwhispry.live (the "Website").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Whispry was built with privacy as a core principle — all voice processing happens entirely on your device.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

We want to be absolutely clear about what data we do NOT collect:

Voice recordings: We never record, upload, or store your audio
Transcriptions: We never access, transmit, or store your transcribed text
Keystrokes: We do not log what you type
Screen content: We do not capture or analyze your screen
Usage analytics: We do not track how you use the application

3. What We Collect

3.1 Account Information

When you create an account to purchase Whispry, we collect:

Email address: Used for account authentication and purchase receipts
Password: Stored securely using industry-standard hashing (Supabase Auth)

3.2 License Information

To validate your license, we store:

License code: Your unique software license key
Device identifier: A hardware UUID to enforce the 2-device limit
Activation date: When you activated the license

3.3 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing: https://stripe.com/privacy

4. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to:

Provide you access to the Software
Validate your license on up to 2 devices
Send purchase receipts and important account notifications
Respond to support requests

5. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored securely using:

Supabase: For authentication and license management (hosted in secure data centers)
Stripe: For payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. License information is retained to support the perpetual license you purchased. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@getwhispry.live.

Supabase: Authentication and database
Stripe: Payment processing

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.
